August 17 Episode
On a road and Shiv’s house in jaitsar
The episode starts with jagiya approaching the swing and anandi eating jalebi in shiv’s house but her mind is somewhere else.
Jaitsar Haveli
Gehna and dadisa are surprised to see nandu crying on returning from the school,when asked what heppened makhan replies that he too has been trying to ask him but in vain.Dadisa then urges him to talk,and nandu blurts out that his frinds in school tease him saying that his brothr jagiya is never returning and hence they are marrying his sister in law,anandi to the collector,shiv and she would go from their house to live with him.Dadisa and gehna are painfully shocked but dadisa maturedly and tactfully tells him,that like his father and mother,his uncle and aunty,jagiya and anandi were married but after that jagiya left home,met gauri and she’s hios wifde now.Therefore anandi is being married again.However gehna tells him not to overthink such stuff as he’s still not a grown up and goes with him to change his clothes.Dadisa remembers her pampering jagiya unnecessarily whenever he asked for money.He used to be her favourite.And rues that one mistake of his spoiled everybody’s life.How shall anybody ever forgive him?

Shiv’s house in jaitsar
Anandi is offered to be shown his rose plant by daddu which she readily agrees despite alok’s protests.He praises anandi for being so obedient to elders,meenu commenting that she must have had practise at her first in laws’ place.everybody faces an awkward moment,but anandi lightens saying that its true,and that she has learnt a lot from her first in laws’ who are now her parents and hopes the same here also as there really is no end to learning.Daddu takes shiv and anandi to the garden area in the rain.daddu challenges shiv to show him how to do cutting of the plants,he who is zero at gardening,presumpttuously says yes and then goes on to d it all wrong.Daddu and anandi are amused seeing him struggle.He fixes his gaze at a smiling anandi and loses his concentration and cuts his finger instead.Bothe daddu and anandi then tease him about getting an injection now and that he’s scared of them,therefore he avoids them.Anandi remembers him fidgeting earlier too at the mention of injection and smiles to herself.

Passers by see jagiya lying on the floor unconscious and unable to recognioze him take him to the nearby hospital.

An amused anandi and lal singh are watching the fun as shiv is squirming at having to apply medicines that burn and the horror on his face when he sees the injection.He also threatens lal singh that he would not be invited to their marriage that he has been eagerly waiting for as he didnt attend the Engagement,nevertheless,asking anandi to hold his hand still,he inserts the injection,citing it as his responsibility as a doctor.At her touch,shiv is mesmerised,and talks to anandi as if in a trance,anandi sensing his stupefied gaze looks away and he returns to normal.After that,lal singh is called for an emergency patient who they have not been able to recognise,anandi hearing this thinks maybe she would and is about to proceed when shiv asks her is she is raedy to go home,she replies yes and changes her mind.Now the scene is that jagiya on the stretcher unconscious is approached by shiv and anandi from the opposite sides.Just as they are about to cross each other,anandi is called by lal singh to take the meds that she had forgotten,in the meantime,jagiya is taken inside and she misses seeing him.but just as the door is about to close she sees jagiya’s hand,and confused stands outside the closed door stupefied.shiv comes and takes her with him out of the hospital.

Lalsingh while treating the patient looks at him and recognizes him as jagiya.he is shocked.

Lal singh is taking care of jagiya who is muttering for forgiveness from his family members in his sleep.Seeing him,lal singh decides that anandi should know about him,he runs towards anandi who’s leaving with shiv,but then he decides against it tinking that she is now happily settling with shiv and should not be bothered about jagiya.

Dadisa is asking bhairo to calm down and suppress his anger for jagiya lest anandi sees him like this and thinks smething is up.Anandi comes in the haveli in a good mood.She is immediately asked questions from everybody as to how was her experience with shiv and his family,She goes on to tell them that the family is very loving and very open.There the man of the house doesnt feel shy in going to the kitchen to let the ladies talk as she told them that alok did.then she realised the effect it had on her family and immediately clarifies that she wasnt trying to compare but was just noticing the difference between two families.Dadisa tells her not to bother as they are city people and would obviously behave different than their village families.She says whats most important to her is the fact that anandi should be happy in any situation.Anandi starts smirking to herself,dadisa asks what made her smile and she recalls the entire incident abotu shiv’s fear of injection in the hospital and everyone has a good laugh.Dadisa is happy to see anandi smiling.

Lal singh is looking at jagiya and decides to take gauri’s no from his mobile and places a call.But gauri remembering their last confrontration carelessly says that she dosent bother about jagiya anymore and that she should not be distrbed,instead hs jaitsar people should be informed.He then places a call to dadisa and tells her about jagiya and urges her to come as he might even be down with pnuemonia.she is stunned to hear this.She remembers how jagiya used to be his favourite pampered boy and how he always had faith in his dadisa to stand by him and how when he last came asking for forgiveness,she had turned away from him.But she decides evn though bhairo had strictly warned her not to show any sympathy to him,that she would go to thehospital and not let her kid suffer like this. She silently motions makahn to get the car ready.Bu bhairo sees her going and enquires as to where is she going.When she hastily brings up a story and leaves,it causes bhairo to doubt as to what happened all of a sudden that she left in such a haste.

Dadisa enters the hospital and is reminded of the time when the family had set it up rejoicing jagiya’s return as a doctor,how he said he doesnt want to practise in village,how bhairo had broke down everything when he came back from mumbai seeing that his jagiya had completely changed.She is taken to jagiya’s room by lal singh and is shocked to see him like this,burning with fever.On enquiring about gauri,lal tells her that she said that she doesnt have time and goes on to tell the whole story but dadisa tells him to stop as she doesnt want to listen anymore.She pats jagiya’s head and is regretting his descisions that have led him to a situation like this where a boy treated like a prince is now living like a pauper in his own hospital.She keeps asking what has he done with his life and how has gauri affected him so much that she is responsible fo such a condition of jagiya.She thinks that how could jagiya leave such a caring and loving person like anandi for the heartlss gauri.She also thinks that she is helpless that she cannot take proper care of him even if she wants to.
