Anandi gets a call from shiv asking her to come to the rooftop and look out in the compound. Anandi comes on the roof top and shiv standing on the ground talking to each other on the phone.They are talking about how special this first diwali is,since their relation started and that they would always cherish this.They wish each other gleefully and shiv has written HAPPY DIWALI ANANDI with lit diyas on the ground.They share a romantic eye lock.
Location: Jaitsar haveli,shiv’s house in jaitsar and sanchi’s hostel
Preparations are on in full swing in jaitsar haveli with anandi and gehna making the rangoli,bhairo involved with gifts basant involved with lighting and decorations.Dadisa comes and asks bhairo what should be given to sanchi,shiv’s sister for this purpose.He suggests jewellery or clothes.Dadisa amuses herself saying that he might be the literate one in the family but has even lesser idea than her that city girls dont like such gifts and have diffrerent choices.She decides to call ira and ask her only.
Meanwhile at shiv’s house too,preps in full swing,with dadaji irritating alok full on with his directions for decorations,mahi distrubing more rather than helping meenu with the rangoli while ira is making sweets in a happy environment.She gets a call form dadisa and after exchanging greetings,gets an invitation to celebrate diwali in the haveli.Ira agrees that they would come aftre finishing the puja at their place.Dadisa asks what gift to get for sanchi.She says not required.But dadisa says that gifts increase love and happiness in the relation and keep the spark alive.And demands to talk to her.But ira gets tensed and makes up an excuse saying that she hasnt reached as yet.Dadisa says she would decide with anandi and gehna only and cancels the phone.
Shiv who hs just come after shopping.sees her tensed and asks whats the matter.She tells him about sanchi and shiv instantly calls her up on her mobile.She tries to wriggle out of coming to jaitsar by giving reason of practicals and assignment submission.But shiv tells her forcefully to be with the family on this diwali and tells her to leave right away and reach by the evening.She disinterestedly says yes.
After cancelling the phone,sanchi is upset and thinking to herself that dues to anandi she cannot be with her family on the occassion of diwali for the first time in her life and that she hates her for having taken away her family and her brother away from her.Thinking that she doesnt want to spoil her diwali by seeing anandi’s face who she doesnt want to see,she looks around other rooms that are locked since everybody has gone to be with their family and is upset.

While both families are involved with diwali celebrations and rituals,dadaji is worriedly asking how longer is sanchi going to take.Alok calls her up to find out,but finds her phone switched off.When he calls up at their hostel’s landline,he is told that she had gone out half and hour back,not to leave for jaitsar but for a movie with friends.Alok is super angry that she could have at least told that she is not coming so that they wouldnt have waited for her.Ira is upset that she’s not with them on diwali for th first time.Shiv says that he would get her personally but dadaji says that they shouldnt waste the whole night on that as they ahd promised anandi’s family that they would celebrate their first diwali together and they should not spoil that for sanchi’s recklessness.Dadji tells them not to be upset and prepare to leave for th haveli.Ira and meenu get back again to work with a heavy heart.

Laxmi puja is on in full swing along with all the rituals at both the places.Everybody praying to the goddess laxmi to keep her blessings on their family.After the arti is over,gehna gives prashad to everybody with nandu,naughty as usual asking for more sweet as he’s hungry and dinner’s going to be quite late.Dadisa laughs at him and gives him another laddoo and pats and blesses him.
Dadaji also gets gifts for everybody.Alok says it feels like reliving old times again whn they waited with bated breaths and enthusianm to see what they had been gifted by dadaji.He gives everybody gifts and gts emotional lookign at the watch he brought to be given to sanchi.He says he would keep it an dgive it to her when she comes.And asks everybody to prepare to go to anandi’s house.The screen freezes on shiv’s happy face.

Shiv and his family are marvelling at the decorations of the haveli.They come upto anandi’s family and they greet each other and dadisa first of all hands over the gifts to shiv’s family.When dadaji asks for his gift dadisa asks makhan to get it and gifts a wonderful bouquet of flowers to dadaji which embarasses and leaves him speechless for once while others are amused at his stunned face.He shyly accepts it and apologizes for not getting a flower for dadisa like always.
Anandi then goes over and takes everybody’s blessings but is very happy when she finds meenu telling her that she cant wait for the next diwali when anandi as their daughter in law would be doing the laxmi puja and also gifts her a piece of jewellery as her blessing.Dadaji too then gifts everybody and plays a prank on nandu when he disappoints him saying that he forgot to get a gift for him and goes on to reveal a packet full of crackers for him.Shiv sees makhan kaka passing by and calls him and gifts him a watch and greets him on the festival like a family member.Everybody is moved by his gesture.While others get chatting,anandi surreptitiously greets him and he too responds but mischievously says that they have already wished each other last night.Nanadu then offers to light the firecrackers outside with shiv and he asks anandi to also come along.She shyly agrees and they move out while the other members watch from the porch.

Outside all the kids along with shiv are lighting firecrackers.Shiv sees anandi talking to mahi and an idea crosses his mind.He offers mahi to light firecrackers so that he would get a chance to talk to her and spend some time with her.Mahi gets the hint and goes to help the kids with the firecrackers while shiv chats with anandi.He then gets an idea and intentionally lights a bomb which when explodes scares anandi and she grabs on to his hand.they share a romantic gaze.Dadisa lookign at them is reminded of the time when jagdish celebrated diwali with anandi.Feeling shy,she tries pulling her hand away but he keeps it there and comments that each day before marriage feels like a hundred years and he doesnt know how to cope with it.Mahi clicks a photo of them and she gets conscious.Shiv tells him to stop fooling around.Mahi says he ws working in his favor and he is scolding him only which makes anandi smirk.Shiv too gets the joke and shyly smiles at her.
Shiv suddenly notices a bomb about to go off right near nandu and others too notice and are scraed but shiv rushes towards him and throws off the bomb away to explode and catches him in his arms. Anandi rushes to see him and everbody else heaves a sigh of relief.Nandu extends a hand of friendship to shiv moved by his concern and he readily accepts.Dadisa thinks that shiv has so easily made them forget the empty space left behind by jagiya’s departure.

Sugna doing the tilak of nandu who has his eyes fixed on the gift.She is distracted for a moment by visualizing jagiya instead of nandu but then bhairo gives her the emotional support to go ahead and she continues with nandu.Sensing his eagerness for the gift she tells him to eat sweet otherwise she wont let him have the gift.He complies and she gives him the gift which is an electric motor car.He goes on to play only to be reminded by dadisa to take her blessings.Sugna blesses him to have a long life of prosperity.then anandi does shyam’s tilak who gifts her a pair of earrings.dadisa then tells sugna to do the tilak for anandi.She refuses only to be asked the reason for not doing it this year when she has been doing it always.She goes on to explain that that was because she was her sister in law,but now she is the daughter of the house and hence her sister therefore she doesnt need to.Everybody smiles hearing this sentiment of hers’.Anandi looks back and gives her a broad smile.
